find by design is a resource to find and hire black designers. it includes a directory of portfolios that currently includes designers in the u.s. and the uk/ireland. you can also submit a portfolio to be considered for inclusion in their listings.
28 black designers is a great resource on a range of creative types – graphic design, lettering, illustration, ux, etc. – originally created to highlight black designers during black history month. be sure to check out the “2017 featured designers” [top nav] for 28 more designers!

w.e.b. du bois – sociologist, historian, activist, Pan-Africanist, and prolific author who also designed many information graphics depicting various aspects of the economic experience of people of color in georgia through the 1800s and into the early 1900s.
